2024/25 Awarded Funding

The 2024/25 Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) awarded $2,204,987 to support 62 new and returning TLEF projects (16 Large TLEF Transformation projects and 46 Small TLEF Innovation projects). Proposals were submitted to the TLEF call for funding by faculty, staff and students across the UBC Vancouver campus.   

An additional $150,000 was awarded to support 15 project teams as part of the Special Call for the Universal Design for Learning Fellows Program. These projects were nominated by UBC Vancouver Faculties to participate in the 2nd UDL Fellows Program cohort in 2024

2024/25 Faculty, Staff and Student Engagement

The TLEF actively engages with teaching and research faculty across the university as well as support staff who provide consultation and development support throughout the life of TLEF projects.

In 2024/25, approximately $1.4 million in TLEF-awarded funding will employ over 210 UBC students to support the development, implementation and evaluation of TLEF projects.

2023/24 Student Reach

TLEF projects funded in 2023/24 reached 20,062 students in Small TLEF Innovation projects and 11,256 students in Large TLEF Transformation projects. Overall, the projects reached 178 courses (undergraduate and graduate) and 478 sections across 11 Faculties at the UBCV campus, impacting 31,318 enrolments and 17,387 unique students.*
