2026/27 Awarded Funding

The 2026/27 Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) awarded $2,429,493 to support 60 new and returning TLEF projects (18 Large TLEF Transformation projects and 42 Small TLEF Innovation projects). Proposals were submitted to the TLEF call for funding by faculty, staff and students across the UBC Vancouver campus.   

An additional $120,000 was awarded to support 12 project teams as part of the Special Call for the Universal Design for Learning Fellows Program. These projects were nominated by UBC Vancouver Faculties to participate in the 4th UDL Fellows Program cohort that will launch in Spring 2026.

2026/27 Faculty, Staff and Student Engagement

The TLEF actively engages with educational leadership and research faculty across the university as well as support staff and students who work together on the TLEF project teams.

In 2026/27, approximately $1.325 million in TLEF-awarded funding will employ over 210 UBC students to support the development, implementation and evaluation of TLEF projects.

2025/26 Student Reach

 

TLEF projects funded in 2025/26 reached 24,826 student enrollments in Small TLEF Innovation projects, 4,535 student enrollments in Large TLEF Transformation projects, and were complimented by 3,633 student enrollments in Universal Design for Learning projects. Overall, the projects reached 215 unique courses (undergraduate and graduate) across 462 sections in 11 Faculties at the UBCV campus, impacting 32,994 student enrollments taken by 16,832 unique students.
