Project Summary | There are two interconnected parts to this project. One focuses on the scanning and documentation of digitalized images of Medieval Art and making them available to a wider range of faculty and students through the open source platform of MDID2 to be held on the server of the Faculty of Arts ISIT. The MDID database will be easily searchable from a number of fields including keywords. The other aspect of the project is directed to the revamping of the Medieval Studies Website so that it can become a hub for access to more information and multimedia files including the aforesaid MDID image database (also documents, music, videos, 360° architectural views, web links, etc.), all related to material of interest to the interdisciplinary group that makes up Medieval Studies at UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan. The project will fully insure that both the image database and the Medieval Studies Website can work in conjunction with WebCTNista teaching platforms. |
