| Project Summary | The "Automation Resilience" project concludes its three-year journey by scaling its successful framework for integrating AI into UBC's curriculum. Building on two years of iterative development and evaluation, this final year focuses on scaling successful interventions, ensuring sustainability, and disseminating a transferable framework across UBC. Our evolved approach balances AI tool integration with respect for student agency, recognizing that meaningful automation resilience means empowering students to make informed choices about AI use rather than imposing it. By expanding to six courses across the two departments, creating open educational resources, and hosting a university-wide conference, we establish lasting infrastructure for AI-integrated education. The project's legacy includes a validated framework for curriculum enhancement, comprehensive AI literacy resources, and evidence-based guidelines that help educators navigate the tension between technological advancement and preserving human agency in learning. |
