The 2023/24 Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) funding round is complete.
Through the TLEF, $2.07 million will support 46 new and returning TLEF projects (13 Large TLEF Transformation projects and 33 Small TLEF Innovation projects) including 6 Large TLEF project teams who responded to the Special Call for Hybrid and Multi-Access Course Redesign Projects. These projects were submitted this year by faculty, staff, and students across the UBC Vancouver campus.
An additional 16 projects teams were nominated by UBC Vancouver Faculty to participate in the new UDL Fellows Program, and they will participate in the first cohort of the program this spring and summer.
For a complete picture of the 2023/24 TLEF funding round, as well as enrolment reach from projects funded in 2022/23, please review the 2023/24 TLEF Snapshot. You can also see the full list of 2023/24 Funded Proposals, including project summaries and details about the project teams, as well as find information on projects previously funded by the TLEF (going back to 1999). We are also pleased to share the project teams who will participate in the 2023 Universal Design for Learning Fellows Program cohort.
The TLEF supports UBC’s strategic plan Shaping UBC’s Next Century, by advancing transformative learning at the university. It is funded entirely through a portion of UBC Vancouver student tuition. Since its inception in 1991, the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) has supported more than 1,200 teaching and learning projects.
Congratulations to the project teams who received funding for their projects.
