| Project Summary | The goal of this project is to design, develop, and test a robust collection of modules in Canvas that a) will be a site of learning and experimentation for Faculty of Education instructors who wish to know more about AI ethics and affordances in preparation for their own teaching, and b) can be extracted by instructors within and beyond the Faculty of Education for use in individual undergraduate and graduate courses. We will develop approaches for the use of generative A.I. tools by instructors and students in many aspects of academic work, such as process-based assessment, writing, analysis, summarization, language learning, academic integrity, and ethics. In relation to the last item, we will develop materials on issues such as AI bias, accessibility, IP, and data sovereignty with a view to ensuring an inclusive and decolonized approach. |
