| Project Summary | The project explores the effectiveness of audio lectures and lab guides in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. The aim is to transform text-based content into interactive audio artifacts. Audio artifacts are an addition to other tools embedded in the courses which support a blended approach, and offer different mediums of engagement. With evidence of visual fatigue in online teaching following the pandemic, the audio lectures and lab guides offer an alternative medium that support and complement existing tools, as well as enhancing accessibility. The project will involve the development of high-quality audio lectures for each module of GEOG 250 (12 modules) course; the same approach for GEOS 306 (6 modules); and in GEOG 374, 5 audio tutorials to guide technical, data science lab exercises. These audio artifacts will be designed to complement existing materials, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of core concepts and labs in the respective courses. |
