Project Summary

The goal of this project is to update content and restructure course assessments and activities to create a more flexible and accessible learning experience in two animal health and physiology courses: APBI 312 and 410. These courses have been ‘lecture based’ where students learned mostly through the didactic transmission of knowledge from the instructor and had minor modifications until the pandemic when we had to make changes to support online learning. We’ve learned that interactive and engagement-based learning helps solidify concepts and improves knowledge retention. The goal of this TLEF is to build upon what we learned in the last two years and revamp our course designs. We would like to create more interactive, and accessible courses for online, asynchronous learning. By providing students with a more hybrid model of teaching we hope to support a wider range of students and increase our ability to offer more learning opportunities.
