Development of Multimedia Interactive Learning Modules for Instruction in Communication Skills and Clinical Skills for the Physical Examinationn of Infants and Children

The goal of this project is to develop 10 multi-media learning modules for interactive instruction and review of pediatrics clinical skills for undergraduate and postgraduate medical trainees, continuing medical education and other health professionals.

1. Improve accessibility to clinical situations/simulations;
2. Provide a self-paced, interactive study guide with emphasis on clinical skills and communication;
3. Provide a self-assessment tool for trainees and (potentially) a method of in-training and end-of-rotation evaluation for educators;
4. Emphasize differences in adult, pediatric and infant clinical skills, particularly from a patient and parent perspective;
5. Produce a potentially marketable educational tool, the proceeds of which will be used to further medical education.
