Project Summary | This project will integrate Indigenous perspectives, knowledge, and competencies into the pedagogy of UBC Sauder and will advance efforts of decolonization within the institution. The development of curriculum resources and training materials will improve faculty’s capability to teach Indigenous topics in an informed and sensitive manner, and students will acquire a better understanding of Canada’s history, the current issues facing Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians, and our shared path forward towards a future of true reconciliation. The project has three goals: 1) we will work with Indigenous Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and produce resources that will contribute to Indigenizing the business curriculum; 2) in order to teach these topics with sensitivity and humility, we will develop training for faculty to guide them in the classroom; 3) finally, we will create an online hub – a repository for these resources that is accessible for faculty and students. |
