Project Summary

The hallways at the Sauder School of Business pulse with change.

New buildings, programs, technologies, learning spaces, curriculum strategies and teaching practices all require student experience research — and student voices at the planning table. Finding available students to engage in planning and development challenges the School’s faculty, managers and student development officers. To meet this need, the applicants will bring students together with key stakeholders to shift from adhoc to systemized participation processes, by researching, developing and launching an embedded, sustainable Student Experience Research Advisory (SERA). Led by students, this group will have a mandate to inform planning and development of student-related initiatives at the School.

Goals for the project include:

  • Identifying models from other post-secondary and business schools;
  • Adopting methods for student-centred design and governance;
  • Developing sustainable funding;
  • Developing strategies to meet the needs of all stakeholders;
  • Producing the first round of research recommendations.
