Project Summary | This project is an opportunity to provide a better learning resource for medical students and residents, and for UBC to become an innovative leader in the teaching of musculoskeletal tumours in Canada. Tumours of the bones and soft tissues affect thousands of British Columbians each year. Early diagnosis and treatment lead to better results for patients, but unfortunately opportunities can be missed due to a lack of knowledge amongst medical practitioners. Providing better learning resources for medical students and residents will raise the knowledge of these tumours in the medical community, which is a priority for the Canadian Orthopaedic Oncology Society. An interactive online resource to complement teaching during and after completion of medical training is the best option to deliver this important initiative. This resource for UBC students will also be promoted across Canada and worldwide, placing UBC as a leader in the teaching of this specialty. |
