Duration | 2 Year |
Initiation | 04/01/2025 |
Project Summary | The project aims to expose students to course prerequisites prior to the beginning of the term. By doing so, students can assess their preparedness and gauge whether their current French proficiency aligns with the course expectations. Instead of facing knowledge gaps between what they know and what they are supposed to know, the development of new resources on Canvas will allow them to be ready when the term starts with a feeling of accomplishment and confidence. The primary objectives of this initiative are to homogenize the student body, enhance student success, and address common challenges such as attrition in French language courses and feelings of not belonging within the course. This proactive approach seeks to create a more supportive learning environment, ensuring that all students start on a level playing field and are set up for success. |
