Project Summary

The following proposal is presented in four sections: Defining a Learning Intensive University, Impact Measures, Proposed Programs, and Proposed Budget.

In the Impact Measures section, you will see that we have done a more comprehensive job of calculating the number of people who benefit from the Centre for Teaching and Academic Growth's (TAG) programs and services. This new analysis takes into account the considerable amount of work at TAG in forms other than workshops, seminars, and other events. No matter how the analysis is performed, it is abundantly clear that TAG is called upon more and more each year to support teaching and learning at UBC. Even if we just include the TAG events for which people must register, between 2002 and 2005, participation has increased by 73 percent, while TLEF funding for TAG increased by 24 percent during this time.

For ease of interpretation, the Proposed Budget section is organized into three expense categories: Pay to Others, Materials and Supplies, and Program Operating Costs.
