| Project Summary | UBC Sauder will integrate Generative AI (GenAI) into core and elective finance courses. We will build FinanceBot for COMM 298, 370, and 371, a course-tuned chatbot that delivers approved practice problems combined with step-by-step, adaptive feedback. As a supplementary self-study resource, FinanceBot allows students to practice at their own pace to prepare for quizzes and exams, while also closing foundational skill gaps and reinforcing learning. We will also introduce an AI Team Member Model for COMM 271 and 387, which teaches students to use AI as a collaborator in solving business problems, supported by prompts, prompt-writing guidelines, cases, reflections, rubrics, and instructor guides, platform-agnostic and transferable across disciplines. Finally, we will strengthen COMM 486I: Applications of AI in Finance with new materials and methods aligned to industry practice. Together, these initiatives enhance student engagement, achievement, AI literacy, and ethics, while preparing graduates for human–AI collaboration in the workplace. |
