Project Summary | This project brings together experts in learning analytics, data science, equity research, and inclusive pedagogy to expand the UBC Learning Technology Hub’s Course Insights instructor-facing dashboard to include equity analyses based on demographic data. The project will create an orientation module to facilitate ethical and growth-oriented interpretation of the dashboard data, and a guide to inclusive teaching practices, intended to enhance equity at the course level through instructor reflection and future instructional design choices. This project will directly enhance equity and inclusion at UBC by providing individual instructors with the tools to assess the equitable outcomes in their own courses and by propagating evidence-based inclusive teaching practices. |
