Project Summary | The purpose of the Commerce Women’s Mentoring Program is to develop an awareness of the challenges facing women in business and to provide opportunities to interact with role models from the business community. An executive-in-residence, a leading woman in business, will be assigned as director of this program. This executive will join the faculty for a one-year period and provide leadership for the mentoring program. The program will involve two workshops or luncheon lectures per term and a drop-in centre open for regular hours each week. The program will be open to everyone, but primarily focused on the female students. In addition, an MBA student will be hired to create and maintain a web-based resource identifying issues of particular concern to women in business and government. |
