| Project Summary | The goal of this project is to develop an educational resource consisting of short on-line multimedia presentations on how to learn most effectively in the diverse practicum settings of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences’ entry to practice (E2P) undergraduate PharmD program. The program includes 44 weeks of experiential education rotations progressing from introductory to advanced and involving both direct patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as non-direct patient care in a variety of settings. The presentations will support students’ transitions into experiential education. In preparation for this application, a study, consisting of interviews with students, was conducted in the summer of 2018 to identify “learning moments” during practicums. The results of this study, as well as results from additional interviews (targeting the advanced direct and non-direct patient care placements that take place in Term 1 of the 2019 Winter Session) will be the material for the presentations. |
