Project Summary | By matching funding from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), we have been assessing the feasibility of using complementary long distance education strategies, i.e., on-line Internet video tutorials with Web-based tutorials in conjunction with internationally-respected content experts in critical care, to enable undergraduate physical therapy students, to master advanced topics related to intensive care. Specifically, we have been:
Consistent with the mission statements of PolyU and UBC to develop East-West partnerships, this project links students, faculty and institutions internationally in an innovative learning initiative. Both institutions have well developed telestudios to support the venture. Web-based teaching has become a priority to both departments. |
