Project Summary | The objective of this project is to initiate interactive learning opportunities with the use of technology between the forest universities in Canada to draw on expertise across the country to offer the highest quality education in forestry, natural resources conservation and wood products. Tertiary-level forestry education, in all countries, is faced with both a suite of challenges and a range of opportunities. Resources available to support forestry education are generally insufficient to sustain the desired breadth and depth of forest education, which prejudices forestry's capacity to meet societies' demands on their forests and for forest products and services. At the same time, technological and educational changes are enabling new forms of learning resources and collaborative learning which offer prospects for addressing some of these challenges. |
