Year 3: Summary | With TLEF support, we have a) built a network of UBC educators, b) provided skill enhancement opportunities, and c) increased interest in global citizenship within the teaching community. This year, we seek to continue meeting the above objectives by focusing activities in two areas: A) An interactive website for UBC community members to collaborate using concepts and tools from Road to Global Citizenship: An Educator's Toolbook ("the Toolbook") and new user-generated content. B) A Teaching for Global Citizenship (TGC) program to clusters of faculty members across several departments to: a) Enhance individuals' teaching capacity in meeting Trek 2010 goals of preparing students to be exceptional global citizens; b) foster discipline-based communities and shift in the way teaching and learning is discussed in departments; c) transform courses and/or curriculum in participating departments; d) provide opportunities for participating departments to develop a leadership role in fostering global citizenship at UBC. |
