Project Summary | The role of this project is to incorporate a Radiology Syllabus into the current medical curriculum by the creation of teaching materials. This goal will be approached on three levels: I) Preclinical years (Years I and II), 2) Clinical years (Years III and IV), and 3) General Information (applicable to all four years). For the preclinical years, the emphasis will be to build a core foundation in different aspects of imaging, specifically, basic radiologic principles, radiologic anatomy, and an approach to reading radiographs. For the clinical years, the emphasis will be to prepare students for imaging-related issues they will encounter while on the wards. The focus will be on essential, "not-to-miss" cases. For the general information, the emphasis will be to create instructional technology as an adjunct to the education. This goal will be obtained by creating on line interactive teaching modules. |
