Project Summary | Currently teaching of visual fields in medicine is performed with two dimensional images. In our proposed study we plan to create three dimensional images of medical conditions to enhance student learning. These images will be incorporated to design interactive simulation modules of different clinical case presentations. This innovative project will increase diagnostic learning with the utilization of three dimensional photography as clinical features will be captured that are not adequately picked up by two dimensional images. Interim evaluations will be conducted by stakeholders of this project including medical students to further improve the teaching given by our interactive modules. Upon completion of our interactive simulation modules, we will post these online for medical students (Years One to Four) to utilize to enhance their learning. In addition, we expect this project to lead to other clinical cases being designed with three dimensional photography into interactive simulation modules. |
