Project Summary | Effective use of information technology (IT) has become crucial to the success of organizations and can have a significant impact on business competitiveness. Organizations need to (1) decide on the most valuable investment in IT and (2) effectively deploy, manage, and use IT resources. In this context — enterprise architecture (EA) refers to the overall structure of IT assets and EA management refers to procedures, methods and tools used in managing IT assets. EA has been recognized as crucial for aligning IT with business strategies. This project has been initiated by students at the Sauder School of Business with the purpose of enhancing awareness and depth of knowledge of UBC students about Enterprise Architecture (EA). This knowledge will support students in becoming business leaders of tomorrow. The project will engage students actively in organizing and participating in: (1) a student conference (2) hands-on workshops, (3) evaluation and selection of EA tools. |
