Project Summary | The UBC Pharmacy Student Journal (UBC PSJ) will be the first student-run, peer reviewed, and open-access pharmacy journal in Canada. Our mission is to bridge the gap between student knowledge creation and dissemination by engaging students on a wide range of pharmacy topics in the form of original research, review articles, and case reports. Our goal is to make UBC PSJ not only a publishing platform for young researchers, but also an organization that will provide an authentic and rich learning environment for students to be better familiarized with the research process, so that they may become future researchers. The training will be provided through faculty mentorship and through workshops, which will cover topics such as academic writing and understanding the peer review process. Experienced student researchers will have the opportunity to act as peer mentors to other students to help pass on their knowledge and experience to the next generation of young researchers. In order to reach the widest audience possible, UBC PSJ will be an open-access journal and published electronically. |
