Project Summary

In the context of the second-year Research Evidence for Practice course professional Master of Occupational Therapy students identify a personalized learning goal related to the research process and develop a self-learning module to address it. This assignment extends the students’ knowledge and skills of research methods taught in class, with the topics covered by modules ranging from the use of photovoice in participatory observation to best practices of conducting qualitative interviews to developing effective research posters. This project aims to refine the 48 different self-learning modules created by students over the last two years, ensure that the quality of all the modules is consistent and adheres to the highest standards of conducting research — both quantitative, and qualitative, catalogue them, and develop an online user-friendly and easily accessible library of modules that will be an invaluable resource for graduate, particularly Master students at UBC, but also in other Universities (on request).
