Project Summary | This project will design, pilot and evaluate a series of six online learning modules for health care students to assist them in developing interprofessional collaborative practice competencies. Based on evaluation data from a successful interprofessional professional development learning series designed to help faculty and practitioners incorporate elements of interprofessional collaboration (IPC) into practice; these online learning modules will cover the core competencies required for effective collaborative patient-centred care to a broad range of students at UBC. Through active engagement of health care students, community partners, faculty members and preceptors across the health disciplines at UBC, the 'IPC on the Run’ modules will be developed in a way that will ensure 1) optimal student relevance; 2) provinde wide distribution to all UBC sites; and 3) ease of integration into health professional curricula. |
