Project Summary

The infusion of statistical understanding throughout the entire CHBE laboratory program is the overall goal of this project.

The objective of this project is to build resources and educational supports that help students to more successfully integrate statistical understanding into their Chemical and Biological Engineering laboratory experiences. We propose to build 15 targeted, interactive video PODcasts that will introduce students to a range of statistical methods and their appropriate application to experimental data analysis. The ultimate goal is to enhance the student understanding of statistics and its application to experimental design and data analysis. The PODcasts will build on the concepts that are introduced to students in STAT 251 and will be developed in three series: the introduction to specific statistical methods, their application to data analysis, and ultimately their application to experimental design. In addition, lab write-ups and pre-lab assignments will be modified to incorporate these new PODcasts.
