Project Summary | The MGM Club consists of medical students and residents interested in providing medical care, conducting research, and educating others on mass gatherings In BC. We work in conjunction with the MGM Interest Group, an inter-professional healthcare team collaborating to teach, improve on, and provide world-class care at mass gathering events. Our project seeks to foster an interest among medical students in pre-hospital care and MGM. We hope to accomplish this by providing various clinical, research, and educational opportunities. In 2013-14, we hope to provide opportunities for medical students to become involved in pre-hospital medicine, to spark an interest in this emerging field of research, and to educate students on relevant pre-hospital medical knowledge and skills beyond the medical teaching curriculum. In doing so, we hope that UBC can become a pioneer in the emerging field of mass gathering medicine. |
