Project Summary | This project will develop a replicable, distributed, and blended learning structure for the teaching of historical children’s literature and archival/historical practices. The initial course development would contribute directly to the MA in Children’s Literature program, while the blended elements would facilitate a partial residence summer school and/or distance course offering to international students in subsequent years. The project will focus on the development of a 3-credit course and flexible learning objects suitable for use at other institutions and with other historical collections of children’s literature, along with digitization of significant historical collections held by UBC. The course will also contribute to the Erasmus Mundus (EU Multi-Institution) Masters in Children’s Literature and Culture application currently being prepared for February 2018 resubmission, and improve the availability and use, locally and internationally, of UBC’s unique historical resources. |
