Project Summary | We propose creating a comprehensive set of resources to support a flexible approach to learning the functional anatomy and neuroanatomy of the head and neck. This will comprise the creation of didactic video modules accompanied by interactive modules and the development of in class activities (lab manual) that focus on the application of this knowledge. The conceptual approach developed by faculty at UBC to teaching these topics is unique and these resources will be an integral part of a flexible learning approach in the new medical curriculum. Each video will integrate chalk talks with animations, state of the art imaging, and anatomical dissections, and will link basic concepts with functionally and clinically relevant basic anatomy. The interactive modules will include didactic and self-testing portions. The project will involve the participation of UBC faculty, staff from MedIT and from CPS, two graduate students, one medical student, and a professional film crew. |
