Project Summary

Mentorship is invaluable for business students, as it connects them to practical experiences, industry insights, and professional guidance. However, mentorship opportunities are limited, and students typically rely on online resources that are either inaccessible or too general.

To address this, we propose developing an AI Mentor platform specifically designed to enhance business students’ learning experiences. This platform will leverage mentorship data from Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) and a new Sauder initiative, dubbed The Village, to offer high-quality, on-demand mentorship. The AI Mentor will allow real-time guidance around entrepreneurship and innovation, emulating the benefits of live mentorship and ensuring students receive the support they need, whenever they need it.

Through this project, we aim to create an AI Mentor that not only enhances students’ learning in Commerce undergraduate courses (COMM 486J/COMM 489) and graduate courses (BAEN 507/BAEN 508), but also provides a useful tool they can reference in the future.
