Project Summary

The new German reading program presupposes no previous acquaintance with German. The authentic reading material is of interest and relevance to students in the Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, and Sciences as evidenced through many student surveys and interviews pre-COVID 19.

In this project, we will develop a comprehensive set of online course materials and self-assessments that:

  1. can be offered in various hybrid forms online and will replace the current textbook.
  2. will integrate embedded, interactive tasks and learning activities in the course material including immediate feedback, and
  3. will include the development of comparable and equitable forms of online assessments and evaluation for courses delivered across multiple modalities.
