To develop a visible and structured curriculum through which students in any discipline can:

  • gain exposure to a broad spectrum of information resources, and technologies for information retrieval, personal information management and communications;
  • learn how to use these resources and tools effectively;
  • build research abilities supporting not only course studies but lifelong learning.

To provide peer teaching opportunities for students in the School of Library, Archival and Information Studies, and other relevant disciplines.
