Project Summary

Student competition teams are an important part of the learning experience for many engineering students. The Faculty currently has fourteen active teams that have up to 40 members each.

This application consists of three main initiatives:

  • providing organization to teams and training in team management issues
  • enhancing the ability of teams to fundraise through the development of training materials and resources
  • enabling the teams to produce more technical innovations by equipping the student team design lab and providing a framework for technical documentation

The initiatives contained in this proposal will allow the teams to operate in a manner which is much more organized and to gain more value from the experience through training. The end result will be higher levels of student participation and greater success at competitions.
