Project Summary

The courses in the first two years of the Biology Program are undergoing a significant revision to ensure the highest quality of post secondary Biology education with an enhanced curriculum that is based on a set of well-defined goals and learning objectives. The curriculum is being revised with the goals of the TREK 2010 Strategic Plan in mind; it is well-balanced and well-integrated across the sub-disciplines of Biology, and is based on a sound pedagogy. This TLEF proposal is an important component of this curriculum initiative. It targets the collection and development of instructional resources that will support the learning objectives and goals of a revised first year Biology course. The shared and sustainable supplementary materials will be used to enhance students' learning experiences at UBC.
