Year 1: Summary

In this application the ISGP and Green College propose four program areas for faculty and students in the graduate and undergraduate programs through which we will promote interdisciplinary teaching and learning at UBC. These include formal and informal activities:

  1. Faculty- and student-initiated credit courses on interdisciplinarity, non-credit workshops, colloquia, retreats, and lectures.
  2. Initiation and maintenance of a student-edited on-line journal in interdisciplinary studies.
  3. Support for students to prepare presentations and symposia on interdisciplinary studies at academic conferences.
  4. Implementation of programs and activities to facilitate information dissemination on interdisciplinary studies and resources across the UBC campus.
