Project Summary

The College of Health Disciplines is seeking funding to support a professional development retreat for the Interprofessional Health and Human Service (IHHS) course instructors, in order to ensure each course offers students an effective interprofessional learning experience. The retreat will bring together the instructors who teach all of the fifteen IHHS courses that are offered by the College of Health Disciplines for a series of workshops that will:

  • Share best practices in interprofessional teaching
  • Identify and build on the strengths of each course, using an appreciative inquiry approach
  • Enable instructors to share resources and strategies for effective interprofessional teaching
  • Refine curricula to ensure each course exemplifies model interprofessional learning
